In the event of a hydraulic system malfunction, the landing gear will free-fall to the gear down position.

The true airspeed with gear down is approximately 75% of the gear retracted airspeed for any given power setting.

Allowances for the reduction in airspeed and range should be made when planning extended flight between remote airfields or flight over water.
